my new favorite toy

Someone blogged about this awesome gadget a while ago.
{I'm sorry I don't remember who, it's not a blog I read every day.}

It's a Xyron sticker maker. You can make anything into a sticker.
You can pick one up at walmart for about $8. Definitely worth the $8.
They some in different sizes. I got the smallest one, but I think I'll be going back for the next size up soon.

So far I have only used cut paper and ribbon, but I can't wait to try it with fabric.

The best method I have found is to start with something thicker, so you can push it down into the slot.
If you start with a ribbon you might waste some sticker because it can't grab it as well.
So first I jammed my paper circle in...

Then I pull the circle out a little...

Then I put the ribbon in and pull it out the other side.
It's that easy.

After you tear off your new stickers you have to rub over them. I use my bone folder (best thing ever), but even your hand would work.
They you can peel off the clear plastic and use your new stickers!
I've used them to make note cards and to decorate journals with.

I hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend!

  1. i think if i had that i'd go ca-razy with it!

  2. Um, that's pretty much amazing. I want one!

  3. I so want one now! That's the kind of crafting even I can do.

  4. Love it! i have a label maker and even my hotel mini shampoos are labels so image what i would do with that.
