We got about 6 inches of snow over night on Monday. And then it snowed off-and-on all day on Tuesday.  Given that I barely made it to my garage Monday afternoon, I decided not to venture out on Tuesday. The schools were closed too, that's always a good indication of how the roads are. I did the work that I could, and some house work, then Steven took me to my chiropractor appointment later in the afternoon. His car seems to be handling the snow much better than mine did. We stopped at the store to get some groceries.

The schools were still closed Wednesday but I thought I would to head on into work anyway. Steven agreed to follow me out of the neighborhood to make sure I got out alright. I did, so we waved bye and I ended up following him down the main road. When it came time to turn onto the next main road, my car decided it didn't want to go right and we went straight. Straight into a curb.

I noticed that Steven saw me and was turning around, so I turned on my flashers and stayed in the car. When he got back to me he looked at the car and said everything looked alright and told me to go to the gas station so we could check my tire pressure. I waited for the traffic to subside before backing up to make the turn. As soon as I began driving forward again I knew that something was wrong. When I got to the safety of the gas station parking lot I got out and noticed that my tire was against the back of the tire well... not centered like it is supposed to be. I called a tow truck and Steven drove me home so we could wait inside with some warmth. It felt like -3* with the windchill. Brr!

The tow truck took it to the dealership and I heard from the service guy late that afternoon that a whole bunch of stuff needs to be replaced. I filed a claim with my insurance and now have a rental car to get me through until I get my car back. My tires will need to be replaced sooner than later so I'll have to get that done. This is just a large inconvenience.

Timing is never right, is it?!
