diy: valentines

I saw a post about these adorable valentine's pouches and I knew I wanted to make some of my own.

I made about 20 of them. Some went to friends, some to co-workers, and I sent some with my sister for her roommates. I forgot to take a photo of all of them, but they each had their own variety of heart embellishments.

There are velcro strips on the back to hold it closed. I used iron on velcro. It is a godsend. I will never sew velcro again!

Inside I put a couple chocolates and a strawberry ring pop. I love ring pops... it might be weird, but I saw a giant box of them in the valentines isle, so I picked them up.

This is the larger bag I made to hold Steven's gift. I gave him some giant bars of his favorite candy and tied up the bag with red ric-rac.

I ironed a big red heard on the front. I love how it turned out. :)

And I made some cards. I used the same big hearts and ironed them directly onto the cards. It was so easy. I figured if I could iron onto canvas that I could iron onto paper.

I hope everyone had a wonderful valentines day! I've always like valentines, even when single. It's a great excuse to eat candy and chocolate all day long. And who doesn't love the color pink?!

Valentines might have passed, but you could use these ideas for other things. Birthday party favors and other holidays. :)
