honey bbq chicken tenders


Another chicken dish... I told you we are big chicken eaters! Although I never make chicken more than twice a week, it seems easier to create variations with chicken.


This particular evening I was craving some sweet and tangy BBQ chicken and decided to whip up a quick marinade and sauce.

honey bbq marinade
1/3 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
1/3 cup of honey
2 Tbsp Krazy Jane's mixed up salt (or any seasoning you prefer, plus a bit of salt)
1/2-ish cup of water to make it more of a marinade consistency

honey bbq sauce
2 parts BBQ sauce
1 part honey

I cut my chicken breasts into strips, or tenders, so it would absorb more of the yummy flavors. I dumped all the chicken and the marinade into a baking dish and baked it at 400* for about 30-40 minutes.

After the chicken came out of the oven I quickly steamed up some asparagus and we ate it all up!

I love honey BBQ anything and I really enjoyed this dish. Tasty but not breaded or fried. :)
