busy but loving fall

 {the leaves are changing!}

Phew! What a busy week! I've been settling in at my new job, setting up my desk and learning new programs. Then, I had after-work activities on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I also had some freelance work to catch up on.

I am very happy that fall is here. I look forward to the crisp mornings and evenings. Now if only we could skip winter and go right into spring...

{fall on a plate}

I did make time to cook a bit this week. On Monday we had yummy tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches. Good comfort food that reminds me of a chilly fall day with my family. :) I also made a double batch of a casserole so I could freeze one pan for a future dinner. I'd like to do that with a few more dishes. I'm also making a list of some crock pot meals. I love coming home to a prepared dinner!

I have a super yummy corn recipe I'm going to post soon. I'm thinking it would be great for a Thanksgiving meal!

What are your favorite fall meals? Do you have any crock pot recipes I should try?

  1. We're still in the 80's here =-( I'm ready for actual fall weather! But yes, if we could skip winter that'd be awesome.

    Once it does get cooler out I can't wait to make beef stew. SO GOOD.
