journey to chicago

A couple weekends ago my sister and I made the trek up to Chicago again. We visited with my Grandma, helped out with a baby shower and did a little wedding dress shopping!

We actually took a different route through St. Louis so we could stop at a Chick-fil-A for lunch. And it was so worth it. Hey Chick-fil-A, please come to Columbia, Mo! We have a fan club!

Then Katie missed our turn off while I was doing some work instead of paying attention to where she was going. We had to take another different route that took us through some tiny little Illinois country towns. And we were lucky enough to see this beautiful double rainbow!

We could see the whole thing, but it didn't show up well on the picture.

Then I failed to take pictures on Saturday. I did snap a few during wedding dress shopping!

Our first stop that morning was at the 900 Shops on Michigan Ave. Such a fun place! I wish I had more time to shop, but my appointments were pretty tight.

We did find time to stop by Sprinkles Cupcakes. It was my first visit to any Sprinkles! I got the lemon flavor. It was delicious.

Being downtown made me realize how much I love that city. It made me want to make another visit, with time for shopping included. :)

xoxo, christa

  2. I'm from one of those little Illinois farm towns and I didn't know what Chick-fil-a was until I moved to Florida. I love their lemonade!!
