I never really shared any photos from our vacation to Northern Wisconsin. We spent most of our time on or in the lake, but managed to take a day trip to Bayfield, do a little local shopping and take part in the Fourth of July festivities. We've been figuring out when we can go back since the moment we arrived home. It was so calming.

We did have some hiccups that I can't leave un-noted. We were without hot water in our cabin {the annex in the first picture} the entire time we were there. We took showers next door, don't worry. :) There were also two big storms that rolled through. The first one knocked out power and we were without for 20 hours. That's the day we decided to go to Bayfield. The second storm knocked the wire down off off the cabin. Luckily the power stayed on, but there was a live wire down in the yard... a little scary. And one of the storms knocked some baby birdies out of their nests. We spent a lot of time making sure we didn't step on any of them, watching their mama feed them and them gain their strength.

We might not make it back next summer with the wedding and all, but we have it on our calendars for 2014!

xoxo, christa
