a st. louis weekend {seven s's}

Steven and I made a quick trip to St. Louis over the weekend. Our close friends live there now and it's about time we started exploring the city. We planed to leave fairly early on Saturday so we could get there for the Missouri kick-off. We were a little late because I insisted on cleaning the kitchen and living room before we could leave.

Saturday evening we all went to the City Museum together. None of us had ever been, so we bought regular admission and paid extra to go up to the rooftop.

{seventh floor}

The line for the elevators was pretty long, so we all started climbing the stairs. Eleven flights up to the roof. It wasn't bad!

This is the first thing we saw upon entering the roof. Giant slides, crazy stairs, bridges, tunnels... A giant Discovery Zone.  {Do you guys remember those places?!}

We all woke up earlier than we would have liked on Sunday - thank you day light savings time! - so we headed to brunch. Wait was forever long, but the food was great. My latte was ginormous. Larger than a vinti from Sbux and a third of the price.

The main reason for our trip..... my wedding dress is in that bag!! I got to try it on and take some pictures for my parents. Now I can be found sneaking peeks at it daily until June. ;) And no, Steven has not seen it and won't until the big day. All he knows is that it's white and looks like a wedding dress. :)

Our last stop before heading out of town was this giant record store. They had records, CDs, cassettes, speakers, amps... all things music, everywhere. It was a little overwhelming, but Steven was in heaven.

Busy weekend, but we had a great time with our friends, as always. :)

I hope you all had enjoyable weekends as well!

xoxo, christa

  1. We have friends who visited the City Museum the last time they were in St. Louis and now I really want to go! It sounds so fun!

  2. Mmm that latte sounds good. Sounds like a good weekend lady!
