brown paper packages

I love wrapping up gifts. The best part of christmas for me is handing everyone their gifts and watching their eyes light up as they unwrap. And they look so pretty under the tree waiting for their owners. :)

In 2010 I used red paper with big white polka dots, lime green paper with white flourishes and I tied them all up with brown twine.

Last year I bought a GIANT roll of kraft paper, 30 inches wide and 40 feet long, I believe. I found it on amazon for a really good price and knew that it wouldn't be wasted! I love me some kraft paper. I knew it would be easy to change up the little embellishments over the years.

So for 2011, I used a variety of fabrics cut into strips to make ribbons.

For this year, 2012, I combined a few things. Fabric strips, red jersey, twine, washi tape, ribbon, a little bit of everything. :)

Here's a little more inspiration for you. They are all so cute! I might add some doilies and alphabet stamps next year!

Definitely a style for everyone!

How did you wrap up your gifts this year? What is your favorite part of the holiday season?

xoxo, christa
